Fifteen funds on one date, every figure recounted
Self-initiated case study using synthetic data; no live fund behind it.
Goal
An asset manager sent four years of prices and the positions of fifteen funds, and asked what the platform holds on 26 June 2026.
Challenge
761,005 price rows; suspended and delisted instruments; a price vendor's "stale price" flag that the client's own data dictionary calls incomplete.
Solution
How to value each kind of instrument was decided with the owner before any figure was computed; all 106 figures of the report were recomputed from the export.
Outcome
EUR 13.55 billion in 2,133 positions and 669 securities, and the figure the total does not show: 37.2% of gross value in suspended or delisted instruments at last prices. 42 positions with an unmoved price against 40 flagged by the vendor; the flag misses five. A receipt with a checksum of every file.
Note on this case: The stale-price flag misses five
